I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We will overcome 07:30 31.12.2014
My dear ones!
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This past year will be remembered as the year of the victory of the dignity of the Ukrainian people. Last year, half a million Ukrainians rang in the new year by signing the national anthem on Maidan and what followed was the birth of a united nation.
The Revolution of Dignity became both a great and tragic page in our history.
Through the will of millions of Ukrainians we overcame the forces of evil and set a path that will bring Ukraine to a worthy future. I know that our country will be happy, despite the obstacles that we face in achieving this goal.
The consequences of the war unleashed by our former “brother” have been tragic: the occupation of Crimea, the fighting in Donbas, the death of thousands of Ukrainians. We will never forget the epic feat of the Heavenly Hundred and all those that died in the east and in Crimea. We will never forgive those responsible for their deaths, because they stole the childhoods of innocent children that lost loved ones, homes and friends. We pray for them during these holidays.
I have faith that the Lord will hear us and fulfill the wish of all Ukrainians for peace to return to our country, for our heroes in the east to come home alive and healthy.
Last year the people of Ukraine proved that they are worthy of being called Ukrainians, now it’s the politicians’ turn to do so by changing Ukraine into the kind of country its people dream of.
The coming year will not be easy, but we will overcome all the difficulties and hardship because we are Ukrainians!
